Our Legacy
Bunglow37 is a meticulously restored pre-Merdeka estate, originally built in the 1950s and quietly nestled within a serene enclave in Bangsar. Spanning over 14,500 square feet, the property features a grand driveway, an all-day dining restaurant, elegant event spaces, and private rooms set amidst beautifully landscaped grounds, complete with an indoor courtyard garden and tranquil water features.
The Story Behind Us
The history of the estate unfolds like a novel. Originally built as the residence of a senior military official and his family, it later served as a church hostel before being transformed into a charming bed and breakfast. Today, thoughtfully restored by its new owner, it begins a new chapter as Bungalow37, a timeless destination where heritage meets contemporary hospitality.
Over its remarkable history, Bunglow37 has been shaped by generations of owners, each leaving a distinct imprint on the estate and its interiors. During its restoration, many original artefacts, furnishings, and architectural details were carefully preserved and restored, honouring the home's enduring character. Together, these curated pieces tell the story of more than seven decades of heritage, from an imposing judge's table and a 1960s sofa set to solid wood dressers, elegant consoles, and timeless chandeliers and pendant lights.
The eclectic collection of furnishings may appear unconventional to some, yet each piece reflects the rich history and character that have shaped Bunglow37 over the decades. We are proud to share this living heritage with our guests, and hope every visit evokes a sense of warmth, familiarity, and belonging, where lasting memories are made over meaningful conversations and exceptional dining with family and friends.
