OUR STORY

Hi, there. We're BUNGLOW37

Bunglow37 is a pre-Merdeka bungalow built in the 50s, tucked away in a quiet enclave in Bangsar. The space is a carefully restored bungalow over 14,500 sqf, featuring a spacious compound with a driveway, all day dining restaurant, event space, private rooms housed in a well landscaped grounds with indoor courtyard garden and water features.

WHO WE ARE

OUR STORY

The history of the building reads like a novel, from being originally built as a residence for a senior military official and his family to becoming a church hostel and in the later years converted to a bed and breakfast before finding its new owner and restored to now known as Bunglow37.

Throughout its illustrious and interesting lifespan, various owners have left their mark on the structure, including the furnishings and fittings housed within. While restoring Bunglow37, the owners decided to salvage and restore a number of artefacts, furniture, fittings and odds and ends found in the property. It is fitting that a bungalow such as this maintains an identity of its history through the collection of furnishings which showcases the era over the span of 70 years. Some of the pieces worth mentioning include an imposing judge’s table, 60’s sofa set, solid wood dresser tables and consoles, classic chandeliers and pendant lights.

The eclectic collection of furnishings may seem haphazard and out of sync to some, but to others, it pays tribute to the years of history and character witnessed by the bungalow and we are glad to share it with our visitors and hope that their visit to Bunglow37 evoke a sense of hominess they can share with friends and family over a good meal.
